INQUIETUS

"The past never stays buried."

ABOUT THE CREATOR

Gennaro Tatarella is a Creative Producer and Director with 20 years of experience in the film and media industry. His professional background includes work on major international productions for Sony Pictures and Warner Bros. Discovery. In his experimental project, Inquietus, he explores the "Airbnb nightmare," a concept that taps into the universal anxiety of short-term rentals through a raw, found-footage aesthetic. By merging his deep technical expertise with professional project management, Tatarella focuses on delivering high-standard media assets and original content for the global marketplace.

ABOUT THE FILM

Hannah Smith, an aspiring vlogger from England, travels to Naples to document the city for a video competition held in London. Accompanied by videographer Connor Jenkins, she rents a large apartment with a garden found online and begins filming her journey.

While the first night passes quietly, the second night marks the beginning of strange sensations and unexplained noises. As the days go by, the atmosphere in the apartment becomes impossible to ignore.

The tension creates a divide between the pair: while Connor remains focused on the technical requirements of the project, Hannah grows increasingly uneasy. Desperate to leave, she contacts the property owner to request a refund, but her request is flatly denied. With limited funds and nowhere else to go, they are forced to remain in the hostile environment.

Their recordings soon shift from a professional city documentary to a frantic capture of the unexplained phenomena unfolding around them. As the project loses its original shape, Hannah continues to film—unsure of what is real, but determined to understand the truth of what they are experiencing.
